Clinical consultation
A place to think carefully about the work.
Bring a current case, a difficult session, an impasse, or a question about clinical direction.
How we work
Consultation slows the material down: what is known, what is inferred, which patterns matter, and which explanations remain plausible. The discussion stays close to the client and the purpose of the clinical work.
Questions we can examine
- What appears to organize or maintain this difficulty?
- Can the client use the kind of work currently being offered?
- What does the alliance or the therapist’s participation reveal?
- What would show that our understanding or direction needs to change?
Groups and individual consultation
Groups provide sustained attention to real cases and the development of clinical judgment. Individual consultation may also be available for a particular case or clinical question. Contact CEI about current availability.
